The split is obviously the crux of this entire debacle which has been plain to see from the very beginning. $800 million is a wide disparity.

There are way too many chiefs involved on the owners' side for the split to have been quickly resolved. The owners can't even resolve the issue of how their revenues are to be distributed among themselves. It seems that capitalist billionaires become confused when they attempt to practice socialism among themselves. Then, throw in the players' demands and it becomes a real mess.
