I think he can cash in big. There are a bunch of teams in the bidding war for asomuhga, rogers is close to next in line. Asomuhga will cash in big, then the losers of that battle will battle over carlos, joseph, cromartie, and taylor (and I do believe the one year differance between rodger and taylor will edge things towards rodgers). I think that with the trend in the league being to have 3-5 WR's on the field, teams will value having multiple solid DB's, and there seems to be a lack of DB talent in the league. Detroit and Houston come to mind as the biggest possible suitors. I'd even argue that the majority of teams out there are in the market for a solid corner. Especially considering how many WR's are now being used, the more DBs a team has the better. Out of the teams that spend money on free agents I'd say phili, Dallas, Tenn, TB, St. L, San Fran, Oakland, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, and Cleveland are possible spenders. And with the way the new cba looks to be structured, the salary floor looks like it will be significantly raised by each team, so teams that normally don't like to spend might end up having to do so.
I think Carlos will get a good deal for sure. I will be shocked if he doesn't get at least 6 mil a year. Nate Burleson got a 5 year 25 mil contract, the salary cap is going up, the salary floor is going up, and rodgers is significantly better than burleson IMO. Yes I know he has the dropsies, but he is a solid cover corner and a good tackler. We are mad at him for only having two picks, but that is not all that off from the rest of the league, and we are mad at him because he is good enough to be in good position to make plays on the ball. He is an asset any team would like to have.
