I'm happy we just got something for him. I'm content with the compensation. I was expecting a 5th, but two 6's are good too.
I do see what your saying though, and I like that we sent him into a good situation. I'm thinking of it more selfishly though. I want to create good will with the players. I don't want to be known as the team that screws you over once you sign with them. Sending McNabb to a seemingly good situation pleases me in that regard.
