Receiver #1 is Santana Moss, who just signed a huge contract; and Receiver #2 is Rod Gardner, who is being run out of town.
Now, I'm not saying I'm a Gardner fan, but I'm not a fan of overpaying players who haven't proved anything either.
This is another stupid move, in a litany of stupid moves, from the worst personnel department in the NFL - not the cheapest, but the most incompetent when it comes to handing out contracts and making trades.

The stats by themself do not tell the whole story. Rod has started in 48 games and moss has started in 29. That does say Moss gets hurt more often but is more productive. He missed 13 of his games in his first season. Rods average catches and yards per game are 4.93 for 65.15 and Moss's is 5.2 for 83.3. I myself will have to wait and hold my judgement of this signing after next year.
