Doughty is a solid backup. LL is a Pro Bowl candidate. Big difference.

"A more focused and mature attitude" Huh?
D.C. Sports Bog - The Eagles react to LaRon Landry, strongly
Here's Jeremy Maclin, on the suggestion that Landry was talking junk about Jackson's concussion, via CSNPhilly:
"There's just certain things that you talk about and certain things that you don't," Maclin said. "In incidents when somebody is really hurt - just life-changing incidents like that - you just don't joke about those types of things. Thirty was running off at the mouth a little too much. He's supposed to be one of the elite players in the league, but there are certain boundaries that you don't cross, and he definitely crossed them."
And here's Quintin Mikell, also via CSNPhilly:
"DeSean is going in minding his own business, and the guy comes over there and starts chirping. All right, we're not going to let that happen. We're here to play, we're not scared. You can talk all you want, we're ready to play ball, and it escalated from there. We got into the locker room, and we were already fired up, but that got us fired up even more. They just added fuel to the fire. We were ready to go, and that made it even worse. Thank No. 30 for that one. Especially first play of the game - we went right after him. Maybe he should have been more ready to play ball than talking."
Apparently every member of the Eagles was asked about Landry. Here's Jason Avant, via USA Today:
"Well he is a dirty player, and we know that and it's one of (those) things where we want to play our hardest and let our play speak for itself. All that extracurricular stuff is high school, and I guess trying to create rivalries."
Meanwhile, CSNPhilly's Derrick Gunn apparently said that Redskins were saying things like "lights out" to Jackson before the game.
"He got his" Eagles center Mike McGlynn said, via PhillyBurbs.com. "We got after him pretty good. The things that he did during the game, spitting on me twice....I don't have no respect for that. There's no place for that in our game."
"It was just real disrespectful, and we felt we need to go out there and put a real good smashing on him," Jackson said, again, via this fairly amazing CSNPhilly story.
LL showed he can be a loose cannon and a distraction - This was disgraceful.
I don't root for our players when they act like this. I'm not so much of a homer as to turn a blind eye to this sort of thing.
