Sad part is theres still a certain sect of Atlanta that wishes the Falcons never got rid of Vick and view Ryan as terribly overrrated. It's a small sect but big enough nevertheless. I remember on draft day one guy called into the local radio insisting that the Falcons trade Ryan and their first round pick to the Panthers so they can draft Newton and that Ryan's arm was so weak that he couldn't possibly make use of newly acquired possession receiver Julio Jones.
BTW the guy wasn't kidding he really wanted to trade Ryan and a first round pick to Carolina for Newton.
