Haha.. Sorry, the comment wasn't directed directly at you. Just that
to fire Shanahan would be ludicrous. The reason we've sucked for so long is that we install a new coach every 1-2 years. Each coach installs a new system, each coach selects/drafts players that fit the system, and then we fire the coach. That leaves a roster of wasted players who each new coach gets rid of. Wastes a lot of draft/FA and puts the organization back years.
Look at Pittsburgh - they've had
16 coaches in their team history. We've had 7 in the last 10-11 years. Stability is good for the team, and I think Shanny is worth keeping at least 4-5 years, probably more. I like the direction he has us headed in.
We lost today, but that's just one game. Shanny's draft and free agency (minus McNabb), have been excellent. I believe he's revamped our core which should benefit us
for years to come. Can't change everything in 1.5 years.
