-Should we be drafting in the top 10/5, Shanny and Snyder will be having some long talks about the future, and Shanahan will, I fully believe throw in all his chips into getting Luck should one of those 3 teams have the first pick.
-I know you all think we are a more mature draft team, but always remember, Dan Snyder's the owner, anything can happen. He may say he's out of the picture now that Shanahans here but don't be surprised if he puts himself back in and tells the FO to do whatever they can to get this guy, especially if shanahan really thinks he's a future QB who can turn this team around.
-You all are probably wondering why would Indy give up their pick and trade it to us, should the pick 1st. They owe Peyton Manning a $35 million dollar roster bonus. They give it to him they A) take away millions of dollars of cap space, B) Won't have the money to just go out and pay a #1 overall pick, C) Are saying they believe Peytons Neck is healthy, and are committed to him for atleast another year or two.D) I just don't see the Colts even taking Luck, and letting him set behind Peyton, when Lucks supposed to be one of the most NFL ready QB's ever. (Also I heard on Inside the NFL that the Colts would pass on Luck should Peyton be healthy.)
- Oliver Luck is supposedly Archie Manning Jr., being that he wants his son in the best place. Andrew said he would love to be close to home with his next team. His home right now? Morgantown, WV. IF Indy did have the first overall pick, and were uncertain, I believe Oliver would tell them to give up the pick to someone who definitely wants him.
-Again the draft is so far away prospects are going to be moving up and down constantly and even though Andrew Luck is a consistent first overall pick some guys may move up whom check out a lot better option wise for teams drafting high, but know they can still get that player lower. For example if the Rams pick 1st overall, and we pick 5th, and the Rams have a QB and we are in perfect position to take Alshon Jeffery, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens, and if A.J got drafted that high.
If the Redskin front office is able to trade up to get Andrew Luck, then Allen and Shanahan will indeed draft him. But in giving away multiple picks to the Colts or Dolphins, the Redskins will have to get what they need through FA. They need young veteran wide receivers. If they can target four, they could get two very good ones. In addition, the Redskins already have a young receiving core with Fred Davis, Terrance Austin, and Leonard Hankerson. But knowing Allen and Shanahan, they will also ask in exchange for their picks for additional late picks along with the number 1 overall.
