They don't just send 85 year old men with no criminal record to jail, never mind 85 year old men that can afford very expensive attorneys. He's more likely to look at a huge civil suit for negligence and if he does get convicted criminally it will be probation.

I agree with you but I was paraphrasing from the penn state neighbor's discussion, and also what I have been seeing on TV.
TV said tonight that two of the charges Joe may face are felonies in the state of Pennsylvania and the violation of the Child Protective Services law can carry a 3 year sentence in jail.
He most likely will have community service / some type of fines, but then again the judge can look how far back joe was covering things up and be stricter on him... I'm not a lawyer so i dont know how that all works.
