McQueary’s Revelations
When McQueary met with investigators last year, he immediately told them that he had witnessed Sandusky raping the boy in the showers on a Friday night in 2002 and then had gone home and talked to his father about what he should do. Together, they decided he needed to tell Paterno. Before becoming a graduate assistant, McQueary had played for Paterno. The coach was a mentor, and a friend.

According to court records, McQueary was never questioned by the police after reporting the alleged assault. But in an email obtained by the Associated Press, McQueary says he stopped the assault and then discussed it with the police.

So which version is true? The one where he runs home to Dad or the one where he stops the rape and then talked about it with law enforcement?

On Wednesday, both university police and State College police said they never received a report of sexual assault from McQueary. And the Patriot-News newspaper of Harrisburg reported that a handwritten statement McQueary gave to police during the grand jury investigation did not mention taking action to stop the alleged rape or contacting police.
