Keep in mind Robert Mathis, Reggie Wayne, Jeff Saturday, and Pierre Garcon are potential Free Agents, so you may have holes at DE, C, WR, right there. What would make you give up your first overall pick to the redskins? Take off your wishful redskins caps and put on your 'colts fan/gm' caps.
Nothing. I cut ties with Manning, draft Luck and move forward. Too much money and risk tied up in Manning at this point. Luck is the surest thing out there. Only the Cowboys have been able to capitalize on the "get a buttload of picks" scenario and make it work. Remember when we got the Saints entire draft? How did that work for us? Two number one picks in 2000? Again, how did that turn out?

It's the 'show-mo-no' theory. Never leave show money for mo money cause you may end up with no money! Andrew Luck is show money. A bunch of picks is mo money. You get all of those picks and squander them, you regret the trade for a decade, no money.

Manning and Luck won't be on the same roster, either Manning forces his release by not deferring his bonus or the Luck camp forces a trade to somewhere he can start from day one.
