Look, you can dislike Jerry Jones all you want because he owns the Cowboys and he has upstaged Danny Boy on more than one front over the years. I will even agree with you that his decisions as GM for the Cowboys have been spotty at best. But to say he is a know-nothing makes little sense.

Apparently you didn't read what I said.

So does this knowledge make him a great owner/GM? Hell no. One of the most knowledgeable people in the league was Al Davis and he was a horrible owner/GM the past decade.

I clearly made the point that just because you have the knowledge doesn't mean you are going to succeed.

You guys act like all it takes is great football smarts and BAM they are a instant success. Every coach in the NFL will tell you flat out that it takes a lot of luck. LUCK. CHANCE. Random factors that are beyond a coaches control. Injuries, players reaching his full potential beyond coaching, players available, impatient owners, etc..

There are so many other variables out there that go beyond just having "knowledge" in that area. You can be the smartest football mind in the world and still be dealt a bad hand and you fail. You could be a average football mind and be dealt a great hand and be legendary. It happens in life all the time.

I don't hate Jerry Jones and as a Skins fan, I want him to continue destroying the Dallas Cowboys. Yes, he knows a hell of a lot more than Dan Snyder, but he's still not qualified to be a GM based on his lack of experience/coaching throughout his life. If Jerry didn't own his own team, he wouldn't sniff a GM's position in the NFL.

Also, the Shula kids know more about football than you and I.
