Why? $28 million dollars is why(as well as the rest of his contract kicking in). Having a day 1 starter (Luck) is why. Manning asking to be let go because of said rookie is why. They very well may keep him after drafting Luck (and they will draft him), but it depends on his health and if Manning asks for his release.

That isn't a Madden 12 plan. It's actually a very good plan.Getting Manning as a free agent (if healthy) seems almost to good to be true. It all depends on his health. A Madden plan would be trading Cooley for a 2nd rounder, and Moss for a 1st rounder. That's a Madden plan.(aka...make believe)

New York Jets will fall off big time next year. Their run defense was horrible this year, and their O-line broke down. If you read that article I posted about teammates blasting Sanchez, some of those same teammates said he became shell shocked from all the hits he took due to the bad pass blocking and inconsistent WRs/RBs. If anything, the 49ers would be the best spot for him.
