Re: Do you guys think ramsey the answer at qb
All of us wanted to see PR be successful at the position because we were looking for that "Savior" at the QB position. We didn't have much in terms of a QB ahead of him on the depth chart when he made his first appearence in that come from behind victory against the Titans, therefore we all wanted him to be "The Man" because he's a nice guy with a strong arm. Well I'm afraid it takes a little more than that to be a complete QB in the NFL. Despite the fact he has played well for a few plays in some games he's still saddled with some defeciencies he must learn to overcome before he is to be successful at this level.
The knocks: Slow of foot; A QB in the pocket has to be like a PR preparing to return, he must be able to make the first potential tackler "miss". How many times have we seen the first guy in on Ramsey take him for a sack? On the contraty, how many times will you see the first guy take down Mc'Nabb? Holds the ball too long allowing Blitzers a better opportunity to reach him. Problems reading deep coverages causing indecision. Lack of touch on short pass routes. I see all these things being correctable and a challenge for PR to move forfeward in being a more complete QB in the NFL. I certainly will be looking for signs of improvement this season, if not his stay here may not be as lengthly as we had hoped.
We will make the Play-off's in 05 "Regardless"!!!!!
