Excellent news. I was thinking between LaRon Landry and Fred Davis, which one of them was more worthy of the franchise tag? Davis, a weed head en route to kicking the habit, or Landry, a often injured player who has shown no sign that he will heal from his injury anytime soon? Since Davis has been more productive and meant more to the team in terms of playing time, consistency, and overall production, I feel he was worthier of the tag.
