Look at how well padded and protected those guys were. Good gosh man!

I've got a little more about "Turk" I'll add to this thread from the Corrine Griffith book "My Time with the Redskins" where these guys didn't do this for fame and much money. Turk got $150 a game and that was a lot for back then and he still had to get a off season job to support his family like all players then.

I also like the fact he went from Player to Coach too.
