would you mind sharing what he said? (or is it what ncskins posted)
31 other teams had a chance to pick him anywhere between 2 and 4 times before we picked him up and they didnt. he's a bloody fourth round pick for goodness sake. Rex is a good mentor/#3 but hes a guy you NEVER want to see step onto the field. Backup QB was a HUGE need for this team. The 4th round is the PERFECT place to draft a BACKUP QUARTERBACK.
The media keeps saying we had so many other needs and suggest we should have gone OL or DB with that pick. Thats the part of the media criticism that bothers me the most. There is not a single other player we could have picked up at that point that would project to be an immediate starter. ANYONE we could have picked would probalby not see the field as a starter until 2013 or 2014. I just want someone to ask the media critics this:
Whats more important - A backup cornerback/linebacker/OL or a backup quarterback?
Which would hurt the team more - Josh wilson going down and Kevin Barnes filling in or RGIII going down and Grossman filling in?
What backup cornerback/linebacker/OL is better at their position than Cousins is at his?
