As for Larry Hughes, it hurts to lose one of "core" guys but at the same time he doesn't deserve more money than Gilbert Arenas. Lets not forget that Hughes is injury-prone (ankle, wrist, thumb). He's been in the league for 7 years and has only played one full season. He averages 50-60 games a season.

I'm not trying to knock him though. He's one of my favorite players and I would've loved to keep him, but he deserved to get paid. It just wasn't happening in DC. Is the grass greener in Cleveland? Who knows? He's playing next to Lebron, and they re-signed Illgauskus (sp), so it seems like they're trying to surround Lebron with quality players.

I wish Larry nothing but the best.

And as for his replacement...........are you kidding me? We have Ernie Grunfeld....I'm sure he's on the phone right now working up a nice deal. Wow. I never thought I'd say that about any GM for the Wizards.
