That said, Ebbers, etc. committed crimes of greed, which I think are easier for us to understand than crimes of violence. Obviously I am not justifying what happened at Worldcom or Enron - I'm just saying that we don't see CEOs getting busted for misdemeanor assaults very often, and we rarely see an NFL player get busted for embezzlement.

It might be better if they committed a small act of violence like hitting someone or vandalising their property. What they did at Enron ruined the lives of thousands of people by steeling their retirements.
