Depends. I've been to both the open practices and Fan Appreciation Day (I was at the one where Joe Gibbs called Dallas fans ugly lol) and it depends what your style is. Both are essentially just watching them practice, and hoping maybe they'll sign some autographs afterward. You can't sit down unless you're on the other side of the fence where they let the "VIP"s go. It's ok but it's exactly what it sounds like, just standing there watching the Redskins practice.
I have no idea what Fan Appreciation Day's under Shanny are like. They do have things to do like take your picture with the SB trophies, let your kid get his picture taken with a Redskins manakin-like thingy that has the head cut out so your kid can stand there, etc. Gibbs set up tents where the whole team signed autographs back in the day, but I don't think they do that anymore. And the crowds can be a bitch on FAD too, I think last year there was over 30k people there, whereas during a weekday it might be like 1-5k.
I'd imagine with RG3 in the mix this year and this being their last year at Ashburn the crowds will break more records than ever this time around. If you're going to go I'd pick a weekday where there's less crowd.
