Re: Ingredients for a Championship

How can anyone look at last year and honestly think we won't be better this year? Our offense stunk for the first 8 games. Then Ramsey comes in and starts with the Eagles and Steelers. We were making progress on offense and dominating on defense.

Gibbs tweeked the offense towards the end of the season. The last 5 games the skins averaged 20.4 points per game. If Gibbs can add a field goal a game to the average thats about 24 points per game. If we can average that, we will be in the playoffs.

I have said it over and over. This is classic Gibbs. Don't make drastic changes. Methodically make things a little better. Guys, don't be surprised to see the Skins put up 40+ points a couple of times this year. The offense is going to score more which will make opposing offenses press. Against our defense, that won't help them. I think our defense will be scoring points as will our special teams. I think we will average 24-28 points per game this year.

Also, if we get to the playoffs, don't be surprised if we go deep. Gibbs will find a way to beat teams when he is so close to the top prize...
