But he was average most of last season. Word has it that Chris Baker was pushing Neild hard to become the back up NT. Maybe by injuring his ACL and being put on IR at this early stage of the preseason, Neild actually survived being waived. I hope he can come back next season very determined.

We were all pretty surprised when Neild made it over Bryant last year. So if Baker was doing better than Nield and Nield is an upgrade over Bryant then it sounds like we are starting to get some really good depth at NT.
Either way after Neild's huge game last year i became an immediate fan. I feel like he didnt get enough snaps at all last year and really wanted to see him play this year. If he can stay focused a year away from the game working on his technique and trying to get bigger, stronger, and faster might help him.
Looking foward to him coming back strong next year.
