That throwback is how it looked back in the day, mismatched.
A lot of teams had mismatched colors.
I've heard that in the 1970-80s, there was only two colors of blue helmet shells available from the manufacturer. A dark navy blue and the bright blue the Broncos used. That's why the Giants had those dark blue helmets with royal blue jerseys...same with the Vikings' purples...they were restricted to what they could get made. The Saints had to get different shades of gold too.
I like that the teams do accurate throwbacks most of the time like the Saints and Vikings, but there's no excuse for mismatched colors for modern uniforms. I'm looking at you, Jerry Jones.
