I posted this same thing on the Orakpo out for season thread.................
Rite now we are a team with a great qb and a highpowered offense......proof is in the pudding - we have put up 40 and 28 in two road games in loud ass domes - and they are basically learning because they are that young. Our defense is poor - simply put - way below average. Sounds very similar to the Packers, Saints, Colts, and Patriots. All teams who have won superbowls and been amazingly good teams over the last several years. We have not even played a home game yet. Thats rite this offense that is putting up big points has not even had the pleasure of one single quiet snap yet! - Let the season progress before we all throw in the towel. This team is different. Hopefully we build our secondary through the draft and free agency and send Haslett back to the unemployment line he belongs in. Let Morris have a crack at the DC spot. Than we could be a lean mean killing machine. Until than though we still have an offense that can put up big points, and in this day and age it seems like that wins more championships than defense does anyway. HTTR
