AP was a heckuva player last year and he was rewarded by the Giants for that. I don't think its that important, we have plenty of people waiting in the wings and GW will once again have the defense playing at a high level. Add in a healthy Lavar and our defense is actually scarier this year than last. Figure...

1) Year two of GW's system with 9 returning starters
2) Lavar returning after hearing his name mentioned amongst the overrateds
3) The offense should be improved which means more rest for the defense which should result in better defensive play
4) GW proved last year that no player was irreplaceable with all the free agents playing (I think we led the league in street free agents)
