I would assume it is quite depressing for season ticket holders. Can you imagine going basically a whole season with no wins at every game you attend?

I would say you're pretty dead on about the corporations. I mean, I live in NC now, and if a company or an individual gives me Carolina Panthers tickets, I'm going to go because it's fun going to Charlotte for games. I'm not a Panthers fan (although I'd root for them since they are a "home" team) and in the end, I wouldn't care as much if they won or lost, but I'd go because the tickets are free and it's a fun event.
