But now I think the flaws are coming out and the things I didn't like about Mike then are the same they are now. He's the same guy they got rid of in Denver. I think we are better off in some areas since he got here and would now like to see what a new offensive minded young HC and an experienced motivated (unlike Haslett) young DC could do. If we're sticking with the 3-4 than get an experienced 3-4 coach. I haven't researched guys but there is certainly some talent out there. I had no idea who Mike Smith was until he became coach of the Falcons. Mike's gonna be what he was...he lost his team his owner his defenses the last years sucked and we've all heard the micromanaging egomaniac stories. We have a GM and some young talent and probably the best QB or one of the best in the NFL. Thanks Mike for helping to clean house. Let's move on now.

First, well said. I agree with almost all of this post - except I am not ready to jettison MS and start from ground zero again unless we end up with 5 or fewer wins this year.
Let's see how he finishes out the year. At this point, based on what some of the insider's have said, it seems that MS may have lost much of the team. Certainly Haslett appears to have lost the D. If we have a collapse, no turnaround whatsoever, I think it is a legitimate conversation to ask okay, not seeing it Mike. If on the other hand, he pulls it out and we finish in 7-9 or 8-8, I got no problem with giving him one or possibly two more years (depending on next year).
