it is fair though, cause we lost one cb and got another and it cost more to replace smoot than it would to keep him.
rodgers is ssupposed to be better, but there's always the off chance of a bust and either way, it'll take time to get him ready.
and no i don't think smoot was the best corner ever noviskin, but he was a known and proven quantity and he's a lot better than walt harris, who's going to be his temporary replacement till rodgers is ready and it would have alleviated our need to spend a top 10 pick on something we could have already had
