One thing strikes me about the complaints on the trade. We traded next years 2nd rounder and swapped this years 5th round picks. You can all but disregard the 5th's as they were a swap. So what you are left with is a hopefully late 2nd round pick next year, in return for a high 3rd round pick this year and a need player taken with that pick. How is that so bad?
The Saints may have got the better side of the deal in terms of position, but that pick is next years. They can't address any needs with it this year. IMHO that's a fairly balanced trade.
This guy fits JG's O to a T, and we didn't exactly mortgage away the teams future on him. Lighten up guys and look forward to camp!
