You can't be all willy nilly with the death penalty.
(And before you jump and call me a bleeding heart liberal (I am), I don't feel one way or another about the death penalty. It'd be no skin off my back if they kept it or made it illegal)
But if you're going to throw someone in the chair. Intent means a lot. Didn't these guys get spooked and shot ST? That's no reason to fry someone.
Now if they came in with the intention of shooting him, that's totally different.
It's f'ed up and I have no problem with them rotting in prison for the majority of their life but... Come on.
