While I deeply abhor what he did and I think that no apology can make it "ok," we should respect the fact that he is publicly remorseful.
Exactly.

Lets look at it another way, and it happens all the time, he and his "boys" hook up to hand out. Someone (Taylor's cousin) comes up with the idea to break into Taylor's home and try to take his money from a safe, thinking he was not in town. He doesn't want to be a punk so he agrees to go. Upon entering the house crap goes down hill and Taylor ends up getting shot and dying. Because he was with them he is just as guilty in the eyes of the court and was charged with the same crime as the actual person who pulled the trigger.

Now, he takes on the responsibility and admits his part and has been punished and is sitting in prison doing his time. Now he apologizes to the family and fans publically. No he's not going to get and most likely is not expecting eveyone to forgive and forget, but he is making it known that he knows what he did was wrong and he should not have taken part in it.

Then you still have the other 3 guys who are still waiting trial cause they refuse to admit their part.

I'll except his apology, even though it does not bring Taylor back, or make things write, he should have gotten double what he got or life or even the electric chair, but he didn't. Hopefully he testifies against the other 3 and those other 3 rot in hell.
