I am sure everyone involved has learned their lesson. Shanny is not perfect, nor is RG3. The blame game is not going to fix RG3's knee or get us back in the playoffs. Coaches/players gamble with these decisions all the time. Heck, I've heard that Garcon's injury could have come back at any time. Not the same context, but I am just saying that these do or die decisions happen all the time.
Had RG3 finished the game and won (with similar health results), we'd be praising them for bravery and guts.
