I think this is incorrect. As per NFL.com: "Ryan's future might not be as safely mapped out as he believes.
In Ryan's nine seasons as a defensive coordinator none of his teams has posted a winning record. Then again, Rex Ryan could always add a new attraction to the circus by clearing room for his twin brother."
And by the way, since when did injured plauyers provide a lot of cover? The Packers won a SB with 15 players on IR. We had awful -- just awful -- injuries to contend with this year. So did lots of other teams. But Rob Ryan's defense utterly collapsed late in the season when they needed to step up.
Too bad -- I loved sticking it to that clown.
