Sure - and, once Harbaugh saw how effective it was, he substituted CK for A. Smith. I don't think that happens if the pistol were getting blown up week in and week out.
Skins imitated the college game and
effectively brought it to the pro level. It's making that leap that was KS & MS's innovation. We have seen first hand that an effective college scheme (
i.e. the "Fun'n Gun") doesn't
necessarily translate to the pros.
