I'm a fan of the time period it takes for him to get back to 100%, explosive, track athlete playmaker. Nothing less. He's far too valuable to risk any further. If he starts the season on PUP, so be it. Kirk can play at a high level if he's getting regular reps with the 1st teamers during the offseason and has a healthy Garcon, Fred Davis, etc to throw to.
Whatever scenario gives us back the pre-injury RGIII, that's the scenario I'm pulling for.
