This and Wise just has a stick in his butt on this. Different philosophies are at work. My feeling is that it isn't meant to be offensive, quite the opposite really, and it isn't universally regarded as racist so the PC folks can go pound sand. I have a real problem with the notion that a few people can get upset over something that isn't actually hurting them in any real way and then effect change. The other side thinks these people, infinitesimally insignificant in numbers as they are, get to decide what's best for everyone else.
