I'd also say that the ownership had a role in players walking too. Smith did draft several good players. Smith knows the business and can scout players. This is a good move by the front office.

AJ Smith was an ass who cared more about control and looking like the genius in charge. It worked when he focused on talent. When he focused on managing....well everything went to hell.
