The thing about Free Agency is that those players with expiring contracts are still considered under contract until Mar 12th, which is why FA starts on the 12th. For players in the last season of their deal, thats when the contract is considered officially over. George Wilson was released, so was therefore no longer under contract and available to be signed by anyone.
