Good for Joe, he won a SB for his team and deserves a contract. I guess people around here feel that a player has to win multiple SBs before they get paid? Given how quickly things can change in football (i.e. injury), I think it is smart for players to get the best deal out of an opportunity like this.

So you would risk losing a QB that has led the team to multiple playoff appearances and just won a Super Bowl, just to say that you didn't overpay him? I'm sorry but I think Flacco had all the bargaining chips on this contract discussion.
