Take it for what it's worth. If this turns out to be nothing more than a stupid rumor created by nobody than my apologies, but I figured this could be something really interesting. Merriman getting busted again and being suspended the entire year? Do you think the Chargers would even invite him back to the team knowing that he's a two time cheater? As the old saying goes, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Well considering that there is nothing else on the internet even hinting at this and that it comes from an unknown poster with nothing more than an ear to the ground I am going to wait and see on this one.

If it is true, we now know why the Skins went with Carlos back in 05, because Vinnie knew this was going to happen.

I believe you have the saying reversed. Once is you and twice is me.

Looks like rumormongering until it's found in a more reliable source. Tough call on whether he'd could come back after having violated it twice.

There had been a rumor almost a month ago that multiple Chargers tested positive for ecstasy (or maybe coke, I forget actually). I never really believed it though.

Merriman was one of the rumored names. That's as much as I know.

On a side note: Can the mods make it so that we can have big giant name and sig fields that completely dwarf our actual posts like they do on that chargers site? I'd much rather see a chorus line of dancing Todd Collinses than a witty, well thought out post.

There's nothing witty and thought out about charger fans.
They celebrate rep points and division titles! Half the posts in the thread all say the same thing, "Your post was funny, I repped you".

cant blame him on the E, sandy ego has the best in the country for half what it costs else where. but as thurgood jenkins says, "i dont do drugs, only weed".

side note: i was taking the red eye from SD to DC for thanksgiving a few years ago and shawn and some boys where trying to get on the plane but the jetblue guy didnt recognize him and was giving him crap. to shawn's credit he played it cool, didnt throw a fit and waited till someone came and cleared up the problem. in real life he is smaller than he looks on the field, of course this was after his roids suspension so . . .

I wouldn't doubt that, from what I've heard Meriman is the type of guy that likes to party so if that does happen to be true then I woulnd't be to surprised.

Also wonder if Hef will ban Merriman from the mansion, apparently he goes there a lot now due to the fact that one of Hef's girls (Kendra) is a huge Chargers fan.

By the same token though, I woulnd't be surprised to see this as just another internet rumor. The funny thing though is that if it's true, then the fan base will be going from a Rogers-Merriman debate to a Rogers-Ware debate.
