NFL Drops Joey T & Millen

I love the pic!!!! Look how all the other guys have stop watches snd are really focused on the combine while our guy Hasslettusdown is sitting there like a knot on a log. Good gurdy i hope he makes me eat my words but i have no confidence in Hasslett at all, even if we had the personell for the 3-4.

BTW sorry Joey T!! Im probably your only fan.

Sweet relief: Millen, Theismann replaced on Thursday nights - Shutdown Corner - NFL*Blog - Yahoo! Sports

I'm a Joey T fan myself... and yes as an announcer.

PS - Has anyone ever seen Haslett smile?? I swear I watched every minute of every game last year and I don't remember him smiling even once. Guess it makes sense when you're running the worst D in the league.

Re: NFL Drops Joey T & Millen

I think Theismann is a joke as a commentator, and honestly, after the way Millen ran Detroit into the ground is such spectacular fashion, how can anyone take him seriously when discussing football?

Good move, NFL.

Haha, Joey T has been suffering hit after hit recently. The Tuskers went defunct and the NFL Network is sick of his big mouth. Good Riddance. It was nice for the first few weeks, but his constant droning eventually got waaaay too tiresome for me.

Re: NFL Drops Joey T & Millen

Why? Theismann is a model of objectivity and Millen naturally inspires our trust.

I'm a John Theisman and Ryan Millen fan myself. I just like what both of them bring to the table especially Miller. He played in the league and was a general manager for the Red Wings so he's seen both sides.

When Millen was working behind the booth before taking the GM job at Detroit, he was touted to be the next John Madden. I'm a Joey T. fan, will always be.

Joey T and Millen gone but I'll bet your darn patoey that Aikmen will still be announcing Skins games instead of having him announce Dallas games.

I don't give a crap about who is the top announcer and whether his feelings are hurt because he didn't get to announce the top game, how about hiring an announcer who is either from the area or used to play for the team.

Let Aikmen announce all the Dallas games cause I'm sure to him those games are #1 to him. Now if it's Dallas vs Redskins then there is no harm in having Aikmen if the team is playing in Dallas, but have a Skins announcer for the home game against Dallas. Or.... put Aikmen and Joey T together which would be fair.

Re: NFL Drops Joey T & Millen

I wont lie, up until last year I though Aikman was always (relatively) un-biased. He was one of the top color guys in my book. I don't know what happened last year but he had a major case of homerism.

As for Joey and Millen, it's about time. I'm glad Mayock is getting his shot and something about Bob Papa's voice made wanna sleep during every game so I'm happy he's out as well. Would have loved if Gus Johnson would have been paired up with Mayock because he could make leaves falling an exciting event.

Brad Nessler, Mike Mayock has the chance to be one of the best duos in sports broadcasting IMO.
