Wynn cut (maybe)
Wynn may get boot
March 14 Washington Times: "While the Redskins have a greater need at linebacker after the release of three-time Pro Bowl selection LaVar Arrington, Carter fits better at defensive end, which could put holdover starter Renaldo Wynn in jeopardy of being cut." |

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
Not surprising, I don't think we can afford to keep both Wynn and Daniels with one of them riding the bench.

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
i dont think we will cut him, didnt he just re-structure? he is a valuable locker room presence, and we need depth there still with evans being a free agent

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
We are already short on DEs and the addition of Carter doesn't really help. Evens (played DT at times) and Clemons (he played mostly 3rd downs) were pretty much it for the DE crew. No one is getting cut unless we add another DE.

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
I hope we keep Wynn, he's a great run stuffer, doesn't make a lot of tackles but plugs the gap & holds his ground for out backers to make plays.
The knock on carter is his run stopping. I see wynn making the rotation even if he doesn't start. |

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
I hope we keep Wynn, hes a huge chemistry guy on our team and to be honest, I'm getting very very very slightly worried about our group coming together. i'm pretty sure Wynn and Danieils will stay. We need to resign Evans ASAP, i'm telling you that kid is a star in the making.

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
I believe we will keep Wynn for depth. Wynn, Daniels can play either tackle or end. Plus wynn plays a big role in the locker room. A gibbs guy!!

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
i dont really think evans is a star in the making, but i do think he is a solid player and should be re-signed if possible

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
Forget Abraham ... we are not signing him. We're looking at free agency purely for depth now (with the possible exception of OLB).

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
I wouldn't have much of an issue with us cutting Wynn. He doesn't really bring any production to the table and he makes too much money. I say we keep Daniels to start and re-sign Evans.
Also, if the coaching staff thinks Evans could become a starter, why not bring him back and tell him to wait out the Phillip Daniels era. It won't be that much longer, he's not getting any younger. |

Re: Wynn cut (maybe)
I think they like Evans' versatility, he filled in some at DT last year while Big Joe and Griff were out. But they're not going to offer him starters money. But who will?
