Angry Does this not sicken you?

What is the deal with all of the attention that the Giants are getting for PRESEASON games all of a sudden?

First, it was Ron Dayne, who had a decent game, yeah, but in the first game of the preseason... which means nothing.

Then we have Eli Manning, who had an allright game, but if you watched Sports shows and looked on the web... its a total media ORGASM over this kid who had one good preseason game.

Suddenly the Giants are playoff bound.

Sorry, but if you look at the Giants, they are easily the worst team in the NFC East, and Im just sick about how a couple of preseason games have somehow made people forget that.

The Giants are terrible. Their offensive line is not all that great. I hope we play them early and often (if that were possible), as it would make our D look great!!
Eli i think is being hyphed up n is overrated. He was allright, but this was just the first game he was in for crying out loud. Time will tell whether he is going to be good as his brother. His offensive line has to get better if he wants to be good.. they SUCK

If you remember, ESPN has been sucking Eli's di** since the draft.......

I really don't care too much about how much exposure the Giants are getting right now......the Redskins as we all know is the better team

Eli was the biggest story in the draft, given the trade, his brother and father, etc. So it's no suprise that they're getting coverage. Actually, I think the coverage is bad news for Coughlin and the gints. The rabid NY press will demand that Eli start, putting crazy pressure on the already suspect Warner. Then, if Eli gets in, everyone will expect him to win instantly, and soon enough, the same press that was shrieking for him to start will crucify the kid. All this as they try to rebuild with a new coaching staff. Good luck, suckers.

Whatever. We must best the gints twice this year if we have a shot at the playoffs. And we should beat them twice. I live up here, and I just can't take it anymore! F*** THE F***ING GIANTS!!!!

NY teams always get alot of media attention, especially the Giants and especially with Manning and his whole refusing to play for SD debacle. Not to mention he comes from the royal family of QB's and of course the media is all over them.

Maybe I'm just used to it living here in NY.

eli is the next peyton, and everyone wants to watch him grow... he's like a chia pet or something; I don't blame them, people want to hear it. dayne looked better than last year, but he really isn't very good (the gints keep their title as the biggest offensive turnover threat though )

I've seen the games, and none of the commentators seem to expect much from the G-men, it's just the Eli angle. Plus, Ratings are ratings, and the NYGiants are probably getting more than anyone in the preseason.

Yeah there is alot of hype regarding Manning, but I haven't heard anyone call them a playoff team, not even close.

How long till Brenda Warner comes out of the stands and replaces Kurt? 2 weeks, maybe 3?

Great analogy.

I don't think they looked good at all, you can interpret the stats any way you like but the season will tell.

Manning will look great wearing Redskins #56 and #36.

The plan with Eli seems to be not let him get into to many bad situations. Expect him to start and get experience. Watched him last night and I have to admit very poised. He called a few audibles and did not really throw any bad passes. Also give him credit for avoiding the San Diego disaster. Remember Marty is there and Cam Cameron is the O-coordinator.

Ron Dayne looks better slimed down and running at tailback. Don't expect smashmouth with him but he is quite elusive.

We should beat the Giants twice, but remember they will be prepared as they play in the NFL to. The media in NY is much fiercer then anywhere else so they got all of the attention.

So expect more attention but with that defense expect more losses.

eli is the only player that really stuck out... their WR/rbs did okay, but 2 fumbles in a row on dayne, damn... very lucky penalties are the only reason that drive ended with a touchdown.

Naaahh like i care what exposure the Giants are getting its the preseason after all to be perfectly honest I am kind of enjoying the lack of hubub around Redskins central.

I also like the fact this year we may not just shoot our load in the meaningless preseason let the Giant have thier fifteen minutes.

I don't think the media rides Manning's dick, or anyone thinks the Giants will come out of the NFC east in the top half. However, for a young man, versus one of the best defense in the leagues (all starters) made some great throws and showed promise. We're not sending him to Canton yet, but he played well.

Are you just upset because of the hold out? Personally I would rather have Manning than either of our quarterbacks and he's going to be a major headache for years to come. He'll play well, for a rookie. I think the Giants will pass most peoples expectations, but far from playoff bound.

I thought Ron Dayne was interested. It seems as if he found the drive again. I think it could be something to watch. But we all know how much Coughlin likes fumbles, and those two fumbles didn't help Dayne one bit.
