Why not send him to a winning program?

Seriously. Certainly he can get into an SEC school

Re: Phillip Daniels son to ND

Perhaps Phillip Daniels aspires to an educational standard for his son that is as high as the football standard might be as offered by an "SEC school".

I am neither a Notre Dame lover nor a hater. But anyone who would argue that an honestly earned degree from Notre Dame does not have a real lifetime value is myopic at best and idiotic at worst.

Whatever decision the Daniels' family makes regarding the college selection for their son, I hope it works out splendidly for all concerned.

Your Citadel degree and education are valuable to you for the rest of your life.

If you do not recognize that Notre Dame degrees - - honestly earned - - are equally valuable to graduates there, you diminish the value of your Citadel degree.

Both are very valuable.

For the record, I went to neither school. But I spent two decades making hiring decisions for "fresh-outs" coming from college environments. I and my hiring decision colleagues all valued degrees from about 50 schools in the country a lot more than from the others. Notre Dame was one of those schools - - as was The Citadel.

I'm sure Daniels is a very proud Dad. Here's hoping that DaVaris thrives athletically and academically at ND.
