The missed FG
How pivitol do you think it woulda been if John Hall had made that field goal? You think everyones going to lay it on him for missing? Think he'll be back next season?
Personally I always liked Nick Novak.. But I digress.. :frusty: |

Re: The missed FG
Hall was actually a good pickup that our front office got a lot of unwarranted crap for. But, ever since last season (when he got injured) he hasn't been the same. We likely will indeed need a new kicker (and punter) come next season.
Supposedly Janakowski and Vanderjagt are going to hit free agency. Those guys don't have the best character, but they are damn good kickers. |

Re: The missed FG
we cant really blame him for missing cause we should have never been in the situation in the first place. our defense should have been fired up they werent, it just seem like everyone was flat. alexander went out and that should have made them one dimensional and we let them still have a running game. im upset with alot of things about that game i could go on and on.

Re: The missed FG
I'd rather have Hall over those two "liquored up kicker[s]".
Hall is really not that bad. I am *very* happy that we have a kicker like him. Whenever I get down on Hall, all I have to do is look back to the late 90s/ early 00s.

Re: The missed FG
There are some good kickers coming out this year it would behove us to draft a punter and a kicker with 2 of our 3 pick's.

Re: The missed FG
And how about Frost? He was doing a kick ass job this game compared to the TB game. Although I know he won't be back, I'm glad he showed up to this game.
Tupa is on IR, so I'm assuming he'll be our punter for next season. |

Re: The missed FG
What about our defense not being able to stop them? How many punts did they have?

Re: The missed FG
Please, you can't honestly believe that the loss tonight was the defense's fault? They gave the ball to the offense 3 times and what did we come away with? 3 lousy points.
The "D" has been the one solid part of this team, consistently, game in and game out for the past 2 years. Once again, as with last year, our offense cannot consistently put together a string of good games. Even with our 6 game winning streak, it was the "D" that played a major role in most of the wins. |

If our defense doesn't outscore our offense it's their fault, haven't you heard? So long as we can sing the praises of Brunell, all is fine in Redskin land. |

Re: The missed FG
hall did recover that fumble, which was a great play by him. thing is he is excellent from sub 40 yards, except on that kick. he cant make them over 40 right now with this injury, but i think he is a good kicker still

Re: The missed FG
Hall is being paid too much for what he brings to the table, I won't be surprised if we look to replace him.
