i would really like to have brock....he got 6.5 sacks and he was barely ever out there on definite passing situations because the colts would pull him to use mathis |

Pretty good call. There's a lot of players on there I didn't even know about.

Re: First Free-Agent Ranking List
I like Aaron Kampman, the Packers DE. I think he could be like a Marcus Washington, in that he's just starting to hit his prime now.
Another guy I like who I didn't see on the list is Andre Carter. I've heard he's set to become a free agent. This past season he played OLB, but that was because the Niners played a 3-4. He's a natural DE.

Re: First Free-Agent Ranking List
i don't even see how we can be talking about signing free agents when we are 20 million over the cap! if there is any way we can sign a free agent of two, i would go in the direction of a WR and a DE.

Re: First Free-Agent Ranking List
Hutchinson will be very expensive. I'd like to have him as well but I do not see it happening.
I wonder how much it would cost to get ND Kalu back? I also like SS Tank Williams. The Titans left him unprotected because he had a subpar 2005 season after coming off late 2004 ACL Knee injury and surgery. He started every game last year and it really takes over a year to really be back from that injury. I think he might be a player you take a chance on at the right price and it might pay off huge. I like our SS Ryan Clark as a coverage guy but he got run over a few times this season. Most notably by Tampa FB Alstot in playoff game. It was embarrasing. He is too small to be an every down SS. |

Re: First Free-Agent Ranking List
Kalu would be a bit cheaper i'd guess since he's not going to be totally healthy all year unless he' taking limited snaps.

Re: First Free-Agent Ranking List
looks like rock cartwright made their list as a fullback :P I didn't know he was 5'7"...
their WR rankings seem to be a bit messed up (horn boston too high, curtis too low among other things) and they still include wayne... bob hallen is listed as OG (he's played G and T in the NFL, but i believe he's been listed as a Center for the last 4 years)... also surprised mathis is listed so low. I really can't believe horn with 187 yards is so far above curtis who had over 3x as many yards. todd steussie is 36, maybe thats old enough to get him as a cheap backup for a few years. Longwell and RW mcquarters look possible too. If i had to pick one expensive guy it'd be kampman. |
