Jason Campbell Mistake?
So the guy has one of the best accuracy ratings in SEC history and quite obviously knows how to play football so why are so many people thinking he might not pan out? He is a proven accurate passer. Accuracy is not going to be his downfall. It's all about making that adjustment to a much quicker read. It's very hard to do. He just needs some time and seasoning. Take it easy people.

Re: Jason Campbell Mistake?
He wasn't as bad today as everyone seems to think. I didn't think any QB played particularly well. But, is it really to be expected at this point in the pre-preseason???

Re: Jason Campbell Mistake?
even in the camps with rampant below average QB play (expected this time of year) his accuracy looked pretty good.
It's reading defences where he needs the most improvement. but week 1 we'll have a better idea of where he's at. |

Re: Jason Campbell Mistake?
Campbell I believe was just nervous and overly excited. Throwing balls in the dirt at the feet of recievers is just a result of wanting to perform and not settling down. I made the same mistakes when I was younger during the preseason . He just doesnt appear comfortable yet but I wouldnt write him off, it is expected that he needs time to adjust.

Re: Jason Campbell Mistake?
I find it difficult to phantom anyone drawing serious conclusions in a negative sense about JC already. Come on guys, this is a young man who has had limited opportunities under center. He was obviously a little nervous to start which is to be expected. Let's not be so hasty to form opinions, he still has some learning to do. We'll have a chance to see more of him in the pre-season games and maybe it may be wise to sort of reserve our opinions until we see more of him on a consistent basis.

Re: Jason Campbell Mistake?
I still think it was a big mistake getting rid of Ramsey with Brunells trouble staying healthy and Campbell being an unproven player, Collins looks horrible.
