Randle El Sighting!
Doesn't it figure that a week after I bashed Randle El's signing in my first post here, the Redskins put him in a uniform and play him against the Eagle's? Just like Gibbs always had that "reverse" call last year, this week they used Randle El on a gimmick play and even found him in the passing game.
While this still didn't justify his presence on the roster, you have to applaud the fact that they actually attempted to use him! You don't sign a guy like that for that kind of money, and NOT have gadget plays for him when you are facing off against the Cowboys, or the Eagles for that matter. |

Re: Randle El Sighting!
you can't do a trick play every play.
thats why they are called 'trick plays'

Re: Randle El Sighting!
Pittsburgh had a couple gimmick plays with Randle El every game and 90% of them worked. That's why the Skins signed him in the first place! So why wouldn't you be doing this? Surely there is room in the 500-page playbook for the Randle El page? There was room in the checkbook for him.

Re: Randle El Sighting!
Let's not get carried away w/ARE's ability to throw the ball, though he does it well.
I'd rather see him play well as a reciever as he did sunday. That reciever rotation should've been used long ago IMO - ARE & MOss starting, Thrash #3, Loyd#4 |
