Portis' Tendinitis Returns

Hopefully this is no big deal. As good as Betts is, I would hate to see Portis deal with medical problems throughout the season.

Damn, this really sucks. I really wanted to see the guy at 100% agian. I really hope this is a case of tendonitis that just goes away.

Wishing the best to Portis

I hate to say this but Portis may experience injury problems throughout the rest of this season. I am so glad that we have Betts. Betts was so solid last I'd be glad to have him back there again this year. The only thing he needs to work on is his big play cuts.

he's a straight ahead runner. what he needs to work on is holding on to the ball, too many fumbles last year.

unfortually i think this will be a problem this season. At least we have Betts for all the Betts bashers. Betts will do good job when he plays.

I have been saying all off season that the tendonitis was going to be a nagging issue for Portis... and I got attacked....

Re: Portis' Tendonitis Returns

It's not uncommon for someone to have a flare up. Camp has started, and his physical activity has greatly increased. It can be easily treated with rest and anti-inflammatory meds. He just needs to get eased back into the flow.

The thing is, he may never be 100% again in his career. While Clinton Portis a bit banged up is still better than half the back in this league, that may very well be his upside from here on out.

History sucks.

But it's true. However, as the Brunell/Portis haters fail to grasp, just because a guy is past is prime does not mean he loses all his value to his team. We're more than set at RB, I just don't think we have one of the leagues best.

Its OK, because in a few years, we will have one of the leagues best QBs.

I know Portis will be fine in time for the season. I see him still getting 1400+ yards this seasons and 13+tds and Betts with 750+ yards and 6+ tds.
