Re: Taylor Jacobs
I think somebody posted this recently, might have been me. Can't recall.
But yeah I definitely feel for him. He's not a bad guy, was never a problem here. Except he just couldn't stay healthy

Re: Taylor Jacobs
Being a University of Florida alum, I feel sorry for the guy. I'm kind of surprised he hasn't turned into more of a pro player. He was Rex Grossman's go to guy for a while there, and was the 33rd overall pick the year he came out. Hopefully he can pair with Darrell Jackson, another Gator, and do some good in SF. All the best TJ...

Re: Taylor Jacobs
Couple of comments here. First, on the personal side, as a father of a 10-month old, I can't possibly imagine the magnitude of grief and sadness he must have felt when he lost his baby to SIDS. Very tragic.
He was a pretty likeable guy. But my football comment... Taylor Jacobs always showed well in training camps and practices around here. The trouble is he has never translated that solid play on gameday. He's a great practice player, so until he proves me wrong, I can't think of him as anything more than that.

Re: Taylor Jacobs
i don't think anyone around here personally attacked him. it was all about his ability. as i used to say, a great 3:00 player. always a stud in practice, never showed up for the games

Re: Taylor Jacobs
Rod Gardner, that name brings back memories. Rod fell off the face of the planet after he left the Skins. As for Jacobs I don't think he is going to start with the Niners, San Fran already has Jackson, Battle, And Lelie, I see Jacobs as more of a 4th WR in their system.

Re: Taylor Jacobs
My man David Patten is having a pretty good preseason as well, I hope things turn out well for him in New Orleans. Brees is tearing it up as well. They look fierce

Patten is an excellent fit in that offense. He will be a favorite target for Brees, IMO.

Re: Taylor Jacobs
"I think the most of coach (Joe) Gibbs as a guy," Jacobs said. "I can't say enough good things about him. But really, in Washington, I came in and they already had a lot of receivers, so I slipped under the radar and got lost in the shuffle."
I would really like to know who these receivers were because outside of Moss, we had nobody. Jacobs started a couple games in '05 and was basically worthless.
